In May 2019, the OJA partnered with the Toronto District School Board, Ashkenaz Foundation, and the historic Kiever Synagogue to tour close to 3000 TDSB students from 59 schools through Kensignton Market.

Modelled on the OJA's Stories of Spadina walking tours, and led by teachers at the TDSB's Toronto Urban Studies Centre, students took part in an unforgettable experiential learning opportunity. Beginning in the Kiever Synagogue, students learned about the history of Toronto's Jewish community and the challenges and opporutnities they faced in the early 20th century. One stop also included an unforgettable interactive performance curated by the Ashkenaz Foundation. To support the learning, the OJA produced a short film on the history of Jewish immigration in Toronto, which was screened in classrooms prior to the tours.
