Change in Service Notice
The Ontario Jewish Archives will soon be embarking on an exciting renewal of our physical space! As part of this transformation, we will be adjusting our services to researchers and visitors over the coming months.
Due to impending construction and the move of our entire collection off site, our research room will be closed to in-person visits beginning February 27, 2026.
In addition, throughout the month of March, we will not be accepting new reference requests as we carefully relocate our collections. This temporary pause will allow our team to ensure the safe and organized move of our holdings.
Following the completion of the move, we will resume reviewing incoming research requests, and our archivists will assess what materials are accessible and advise on what is possible during the renovation period. Please note that access to our full collection of materials will not be available.
We will continue to share updates as the work progresses and look forward to welcoming our community back to a renewed and reimagined space when the project is complete.
Donors who have material to contribute are warmly invited to connect with an archivist through our Contact Us form for further guidance.
