Storylines
Call for Applications
Storylines is a two-night, two venue festival of Jewish stories exploring the theme of Belonging.
Selected storytellers will receive a series of workshops led by Ronit Rubinstein and Samantha Hacker to help them hone their storytelling skills. Both evenings will be recorded live in partnership with The CJN Podcast and archived by the Ontario Jewish Archives. Presented collaboratively by The Al Green Theatre – Miles Nadal JCC, Leah Poslunus Theatre - Prosserman JCC, and the Ontario Jewish Archives.
What we are looking for
- True stories, not fiction or traditional
- Stories that relate to the theme of “Belonging” (What does belonging mean to you? Jewish identity? Community? Family? Etc)
- 5 minutes maximum – stories longer than 5 minutes will not be considered.
- Good stories should have a beginning, middle, and end. True stories aren’t always neatly packed, but there should still be an overall arc.
