Terms and Conditions
By submitting your items to the Ontario Jewish Archvies' COVID-19 Documentation Project, you agree that you are donating your items as an unrestricted gift to become the property of the Ontario Jewish Archives (OJA). The donor agrees that copyright is transferred to the Ontario Jewish Archives and that all intellectual rights to this material are extinguished unless otherwise indicated. The donor agrees that these item(s) will be made available to researchers and may be used for educational purposes. The material may also be displayed or reproduced in any medium, loaned, retained or transferred to another museum or archives. If any portion of the gift is deemed by the OJA to be inappropriate, it shall be returned to the donor (if requested) or disposed of by the Archives. The donor is the owner of the item(s) gifted and or legally empowered to act on behalf of the owner.
The material you submit must have been created by you, wholly original, and shall not be copied from or based upon any other photographic, literary, or other material, except to the extent that such material is in the public domain, or you have the permission of the copyright owner, or its use is allowed by "Fair Use" as prescribed by the terms of Canadian copyright laws.
You warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and have the full power and authority to consent to this agreement, that your submission does not infringe upon any existing copyright or contain any libelous matter, nor invade any third party rights of privacy or publicity.
The OJA has no obligation to use or publish your contribution.
Contributors who elect to provide their name in the 'Name' field within the Digital Submission form agree to the public display of such contact information in connection with the materials submitted under that form, unless you also choose to remain anonymous.
The OJA adheres to the Privacy Policy of the United Jewish Appeal of Greater Toronto in relation to the collection and use of personal information.
