Activities for Kids

Archie the OJA catThis past May, PJ Library subscribers across the GTA received the Ontario Jewish Archive’s first activity book, which introduces young readers and their families to Toronto’s Jewish history. Drawing on items from the OJA’s collections, the book brings to life one small slice of Toronto’s Jewish history – one that you may remember and one that may seem like ancient history! The book and its activities are designed to inspire conversation about Jewish life and provides an opportunity for parents and grandparents to share their memories of the past with the next generation.

This local initiative is made possible because of the countless individuals and organizations who chose to preserve Jewish values, practices, and traditions by donating their collections to the OJA.

Get your family engaged and swap stories of Jewish camp, school, food, sports, volunteering, and more!

We hope you have fun sharing and exploring our vibrant community’s heritage, right here at home.
