Young Judaea
Young Judaea was a small youth group, which held meetings on Sundays. Bora Laskin was the President of Young Judaea in the 1930s in Fort William. After the establishment of Israel in 1948, Jewish youth were taught about the country and learned Israeli songs and dances. Members also recall being involved in the Boy Scouts. Unlike other Young Judaea chapters in Ontario, the group in Fort William interacted more with Winnipeg than Toronto and was affiliated with the Western Region of the Canadian Jewish Congress.
