Population
In 1891, there were 51 Jews in Cornwall. Through the end of the nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth centuries, when the town was building factories, churches, schools and hospitals, its Jewish population grew, reaching 104 in 1911. There was a dip in 1921, to 89, and a peak of 210 was reached in 1931. Cornwall's highest Jewish population numbers were achieved in the 1960s (220 in 1961) and 1970s (225 in 1971).
